I think I like the default text best but there’s no pleasing everyone, the Roman look truly awful!

On reflection, I guess it is not about finding out what would be the favourite if we held a vote, but working out which option raises the least objection. Applying these fonts in normal web-page design gives quite different results, but WordPress can be wierd over such things. I did consider bitting the bullet and paying to access the CSS, but this blog has such a small audience for which it is simply intended to be functional for the game, and I have a horrible feeling if I could access the CSS, that I would find out the way WordPress rendered that would be wierd anyway!
Right now, the presentation is a mess. The header fonts clash with the main text font, font in the tables never matched the default page font in the first place, and the weekly score-tables I do on a page on my hard-drive and then insert as an image, as WordPress HTML for tables would not render as I wanted, so they clash as well. But what the heck, if everyone can read it reasonably easily, it will do. I hope that is the case with Courier New, but I await feedback if not.

Of the choices above I would choose Verdana, I have always liked it.
You could also go to the Appearance / Custom Design section and the Fonts tab. There’s an option for Typekit fonts and there are many free ones. I use one at IWTMR, you can tell because there’s a small grey box with a T in it at the bottom right of the screen (that’s the price for it being free.. an unobtrusive ad to their site).
Sadly I don’t know a way to fix the title font.
When I pasted a table from Excel into WordPress I often found I had to resize it it within the editor and re-add any styling such as bold, since it had very annoyingly been removed in the paste. I can see that using an image might be the easier way to do it.
