Going to spread it around a little bit to try and make up some points, which means picking 3 from WEC, which means the 3 Audis. Surely it's not possible for them to finish 1-2-3, but how do I pick between them? Similarly I want to pick Castroneves and Hunter-Reay in Indy - they've finished 1-2 at the last two oval races, surely they can't do that again? But what's my alternative? These picks seem to be doomed from the start:

Audi 1-2-3
Helio Castroneves
Ryan Hunter-Reay
Marco Andretti
Sebastian Ogier
Jari-Matti Latvala
Mikko Hirvonen
Dani Sordo

At least WRC is easy to pick!

That was lucky.

I found choosing this lot especially difficult. I made a provisional list of fifteen, checked some info before removing those I then did not feel I could trust, and ended up left with eight! Dixon ended up reluctantly reinstated. Green and Eckström were bought into consideration but dismissed. In the end, I went for Bautista, who is a ridiculously conservative choice, having finished top-ten twenty-one times out of his twenty-three starts for Gresini whilst only managing six top-fives, but the other alternatives seemed too risky.

Formula One:
Sebastian Vettel
Kimi Räikkönen
Fernando Alonso
Lewis Hamilton
Mark Webber
Nico Rosberg
Felipe Massa

Indycar:
Ryan Hunter-Reay
Hélio Castroneves

NASCAR:
Jimmie Johnson

Both the Indycar and Sprint Cup seem to be a pig in a poke, hence the seven F1 choices; I am hoping the lowish grip in Canada will again alleviate tyre problems for Mercedes. Indycar should be less risky than NASCAR, but it is very difficult to spot any consistent patterns for oval results in Indycar in recent times, therefore I have favoured Johnson over a third Indy choice.
